The firm began as Scout Funds in 1982 as a division of UMB Bank, n.a. In 2001, the firm incorporated as Scout Investment Advisors, Inc. and registered as an investment advisor with the SEC. In 2009, the firm became an independent subsidiary of UMB Financial Corporation (UMBF). In 2010, the firm was renamed Scout Investments, Inc. and, in the same year, acquired Reams Asset Management (Reams). In November of 2017, Scout, including Reams, was acquired by Carillon
